Orlando Copwatch is hosting Protest in response to Lamont’s Exoneration

Orlando CopWatch, a group who’s mission is to stop police abuse by video taping and observing police officers in the line of duty is holding a protest Tuesday, October 19th 5:30 PM at the Orlando Police Department’s office on Hughey and Central. This is in an attempt to bring attention to the Official Orlando Police Department’s Position that officer Lamont was justified in utilizing a dynamic take down technique on an 84 year old man.

The public has expressed outrage over the extreme actions taken by an OPD officer Travis Lamont to subdue an 84 yr old decorated war veteran by, according to witnesses, slamming him head first on the concrete, thus breaking his neck. Mr. Daniel Daley had has been in the Hospital and in critical condition since the tragic event last month.

“The Police can release whatever statement they want attempting to justify Lamont’s extremely excesive use of force, it does not change what happened. The reality is that anyone who exhibits this kind of lapse in Judgement can not be allowed on the Orlando Police force. The more they try to defend these actions, the more illigitimate The Orlando Police Department becomes” Said John Kurtz Founder of

Geez, what a hero that cop is, almost killing an elderly man. I bet he was a real ‘threat’ too. What’s next, running over puppies and kittens too, Lamonte? It’s like that youtube video of that super old lady with a knife, she’s totally out of it and barely able to walk, and the woman cop slams her to the ground.
Don’t cops know how to talk to people? No, they’d rather beat them up and taser them or just shoot them.

Hi I dont see a contact section.. i just wanted to know if you knew of a good lawyer for police brutality? Just this past Sunday I was hit with a baton 4 times and tasered. I am a 150lb male and there was 2-3 big cops there, they did all this because I could not sit down anymore because i have a horrible back that i go to the chiropractor for. Them hitting and tasing me was way over bored. I was charged with resisting without violence but i have no idea what i was getting arrested for or still the reason for the excessive force.. any help you may have would be greatly appreciated.
